At the center of our faith is the knowledge that Jesus Christ was crucified and resurrected. Everything rests on that. That means it’s critically important that our kids realize the importance of that fact… and that it’s a fact, not a matter of opinion or “what’s true for you.”
This object lesson teaches that very lesson in an easy-to-understand way. The idea comes from Josh , so you know it’s going to be good! The material list is simple, so you can pull this one together in no time.
Family Time Activity: Fact or Opinion
Note: Let your family’s personal conviction dictate when the best time to start introducing various apologetic issues should be. In our family, we wanted our kids to learn the basics before we let them in on the fact that not everyone believes what we do. They’ll question enough later, so we wanted to remove those kinds of distractions as much as possible when they were little. But your situation may be different, so you have to start earlier. Or you may just feel that earlier is better. Since God alone knows each of your kids and what is in their future, He often leads the parents to equip them for what’s ahead. That may be more information, or it may be less. Consider it carefully, and when you’re sure, go boldly ahead!
